Staff from the Maternity Care Coalition worked closely with BBC-TV to bring the story of pregnant incarcerated women to the public's attention. “Hard Labour” was filmed at the Riverside Correctional Facility and features four women who experienced incarceration while pregnant. The 22-minute documentary aired throughout the United Kingdom several times, and in the U.S. on BBC America and National Public Radio in January 2010. View Hard Labour now.
