Applicant Question and Answer Conference Calls

On Tuesday, May 13th, 2008 and Tuesday May 20th, 2008 at 2:30 PM Eastern Time, Local Funding Partnerships will host optional conference calls to answer questions about the application process.

These calls are intended for people who have already reviewed the 2009 Call for Proposal and FAQ's on this website and are seriously considering applying. The material covered in both calls will be identical. Therefore, applicants are asked to join only one call, on the day of your choice.

Call specifics:

  • Date: Tuesday, May 13th, 2008 and Tuesday, May 20th, 2008.
  • Conference Time: 2:30-3:30 PM Eastern Time.
  • Toll-free Phone Number: 1-800-214-0745.
  • Participant Passcode: 228548
  • After dialing the 800 number, you will be asked to enter the passcode on your phone and then placed on hold until the start of the call. We will start promptly at 2:30 PM ET.
  • Phone lines will open at 2:20 PM ET on the day of the call. You are encouraged to dial in 5-10 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.
  • There is no advance registration required.
  • If you experience any technical difficulties AFTER joining the call, dial *0 to be connected to the conference call operator for assistance.
  • Cost to the caller: no charge - it is a toll-free number.

How will the call be organized?

  • Promptly at 2:30 PM ET the call moderator will welcome you and introduce the LFP Director, Pauline Seitz.
  • The conference call will be divided into three general topics:
    • the types of projects eligible and the role of local funders
    • the application process and documents required
    • the way to develop an appropriate budget
  • After each topic is introduced with a brief overview, the call will be open to questions on that topic.
  • You will be instructed by the moderator how to enter the Q&A queue. Questions will be answered in the order they are received.

May I attend both calls?

  • The material covered in both calls will be identical, therefore we prefer you not join both calls.

Will I be able to ask about my specific project idea?

  • No. These calls are for general information about the application process. If you have a specific question, please either phone our office at (609) 275-4128 or email your question through our website. Our staff always welcomes the opportunity to answer your questions.

Special note to callers from the U.S. territories:

The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation only funds programs in the U.S. and its territories. If you are calling from a U.S. territory and have trouble dialing in with the numbers given on this page, please call the LIFP office for assistance at (609) 275-4128.
