coming earlier to attend pre-meetings on Wednesday afternoon.

Why are you asking for my picture ?
Our attendee booklet will include participants' photos, so you may recognize each other more easily. We ask everyone who registers for the meeting to e-mail us a full-face photo that will be cropped to 1-inch by 1.5-inches where needed. If you attended our meeting last year we will re-use that photo unless otherwise instructed.
Please e-mail your photos to RWJFLocalFundingPartnerships@njha.com by August 16, 2011, but sooner if you can! Note: These pictures are only intended for the meeting book, not for any other publication and not for Internet use.

What
are the meetings on Wednesday afternoon, 9/21/2011?
1:30-3:00 PM - New Grantee Seminar: "If You Don't Know Where You're Going ... You'll End Up Somewhere Else"
This session is only for staff of projects from the new LFP grants that were awarded in 2011 including Annual program and Peaceful Pathways projects. You will have an opportunity to meet each other and the LFP staff. Then LFP deputy director Leticia Peguero will lead a seminar on evaluation. Your funders are also welcome.
2:00-3:30 PM - Preconference session: Addressing the Health and Social Needs of Individuals Returning from Prison or Jail
Leaders of RWJF Local Funding Partnerships initiatives that are addressing the health and social needs of individuals returning from prison or jail will discuss various approaches and strategies local communities are taking. This session offers an opportunity for project leaders working in this area to network and share new learning about their work and the population.
What
ground transportation is available?
The Crowne Plaza St. Paul Riverfront is located 7.7 miles from the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport (MSP).
Reservations for ground transportation from the airport to the hotel can be made online at the Super Shuttle website. When entering the hotel name, use Crowne Plaza and then select Crowne Plaza Riverfront from the presented list. Cost is $14 per person in a shared van. There is a link to the Super Shuttle's website at http://www.mspairport.com/GroundTransportation/van-and-shuttle-services.aspx
May
we bring more than two people from our project?
Grant funds from your LFP project budget
have been allocated to cover the travel,
lodging and related expenses for two
individuals — usually the project director
and a staff person.
If you would like to bring a coalition member or other community partner as a third person, please call the LFP office (609-275-4128) and speak to Polly, Curtis or Leticia to see if we can accommodate this request. You would also need to identify the resources to pay for a third person. Of course, your funding partners are always welcome at their own expense.
As
a new grantee is there anything
else I should know?
Plan to arrive in plenty of time to attend the New Grantees Seminar on Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 PM.
Answers to Workshop Questions:
Can
more than one person from the same project
attend the same workshop?
People from the same project are
encouraged to attend different workshops
in order to bring home information and
materials from many sessions. You may
want to schedule a staff meeting when you
return so you can each share what you
learned.
Are
these skill-building workshops open to funding
partners?
Yes, funders are welcome to attend any workshop.
The
workshops all sound great. How can I
learn more to help me make my choices?
Our LFP Deputy
Directors, Leticia Peguero and Curtis Holloman,
would be happy to discuss the workshops
with you. Call them at (609) 275-4128 or e-mail your question.
